DOM Auctions used machinery auctions

DOM Auctions is the joint venture between two successful Australian owned companies, DOM (Dalby Outdoor & Machinery) Group Australia and www.auctioncentre.com.au and has a head office based in Dalby, one Queensland's premier agricultural regions.

DOM Group Australia is a well known agricultural dealership specialising in the supply of Spraying and Grain Handling equipment in Eastern Australia and New Zealand. DOM Group Australia is currently the largest distributor of Miller Self Propelled spray rigs in the world. DOM Group Australia is also rapidly becoming the preferred destination for clients from all over Australia looking for used farm machinery & equipment.

Auctioncentre.com.au is one of the oldest established auctioneering firms in Australia for the sale of agricultural & heavy equipment. The on-line auction site stands out from other internet auction sites as it has a unique blend of product and business relationships.

DOM & www.auctioncentre.com.au has over 25 years of hands-on experience in sales, auction, tender & retail industries. This experience and a cooling off period of up to 7 days on goods purchased, truly makes auctioncentre.com.au "the safe site" for buyers looking for something special in a convenient, safe and competitive environment.

The DOM Auctions cooling off period for items purchased at sales, auction or tender is a key factor for buyer's confidence. A buyer knows that the item purchased is as it was described or their payment is returned. Unlike other internet sites, a seller cannot auction goods on the site until they have proven that they can meet our strict requirements in relation to quality and service.

DOM Auctions is designed for the Agricultural industry to cost effectively reach a national audience. More information can be made available to the buying public through or websites - www.domachinery.com.au or www.auctioncentre.com.au, along with photographs of each machine as well as providing mechanical history ( appraisal ) including oil samples ( if applicable ) and OH & S reports. This information assists buyers to make an informed decision during the bidding process and when considering a purchase

If you believe you have stock that would benefit from a national audience, please contact us.

Key Features

  • No requirement to move the item being offered for auction.
  • The vendor can continue to use the item up until a predetermined date.
  • The 7 day cooling off period provide the buyers with sufficient time to view the item even after it is purchased with the confidence that if the item is not as described he can withdraw with the deposit refunded in full, providing for www.auctioncentre.com.au's reputation for being a very "safe site".

This seven day cooling off period has been implemented to encourage buyers to bid on items unseen from other states and countries. This process has been proven over the last seven years with very little problems. Should you wish to change this policy for your specific auction, tender or sale we would need to notify the buying public through our terms and conditions identifying the fact that the seven day cooling off period did not apply to your particular sale.

  • Items offered can be on the basis of "No Buyers Premium".
  • Items can be offered with a buyer's premium.
  • Items can be offered on a reserved basis
  • Items can be offered on a unreserved basis
  • Along with setting reserves, the vendor should have an input into setting the minimum bid giving the vendor more control of the auction than the traditional method where the auctioneer usually makes the decision on-the-fly.

Selling Methods

For Auction
Graham Eccles - Licensed Auctioneer
Shop 7 - 8 Stuart St Dalby 4405

The "For Auction" sales method is the same as a traditional auction. The item will be sold to the highest bidder as long as the bid has reached the vendors reserve. With DOM auctions the vendor has the ability to set up one item for auction, through to as many auction items as required. The vendor can also set up a date and time of auction to coincide with a marketing proposal targeting the required audience.

For Tender
The "For Tender" sales method is a silent auction. This means that bids are taken in private of each other and the vendor can accept any of these offers after the closing time.

For Sale
The "For Sale" area in DOM Auctions is interactive enabling the buyer to submit offers to our vendors for consideration.

When conducting an on-line auction or tender for our clients all of the items are located on the same page. The closing times for each item can be set at regular intervals, enabling the vendors to view each item as it is closing. This allows time for vendors to consult and altar reserves if they wish if they are using an averaging system

Responsibilities

DOM Auction will

  • Train vendors staff how to handle auction enquiry for bidding on the web
  • Assist and co-ordinate the marketing program if required
  • Assist bidders with registration and bidding when required
  • Negotiate and follow up losing bidders and under bidders
  • Collect the payment into our trust account and account to the vendors on completion of sale
  • An e-brochure will be supplied by DOM Auctions to be sent to all clients in your database

Advertising

By listing your items onto DOM Auctions, you are advertising your goods to a national and international audience. We will send out e-brochures to our extensive user database as well giving the vendor the option to send the same e-brochure to their own client databases. DOM Auctions advertises in a variety of mediums (Television, papers, magazines, mail etc) depending on vendors target market. We will customize an advertising plan with you to suit your market.
